  • Продолжительность: 4 час. (прибл.)

Thailand’s cosmopolitan capital sits among the top of the most recognized foodie cities in the world…but where do the locals go? Go beyond well-known dishes on this tuktuk journey through old-Bangkok that explores the depth of centuries-old regional cuisine at places you’d never find on your own. This tour includes more than a meal's worth of food and drinks at 5 stops where you’ll enjoy a selection of sit-down restaurants, street food vendors, a local market, and a hidden riverside bar at sunset.

What You'll Do:

  • Meeting Location: This tour starts at the Hua Lamphong Subway Station, conveniently located on Bangkok’s MRT line. An email will be sent with meeting location details and directions immediately after booking.
  • Tom Yum Wontons: Chinese immigrants have significantly influenced local cuisine for generations, and these traditions are still popular today. This dish blends flavorful tom yum ingredients like lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime with plump, fried wontons. Served alongside a bowl of tom yum noodles, this perfect marriage of cuisine promises to delight!
  • Discover Alleyways and a Riverside Bar at Sunset: This traditional area of Bangkok is made up of a maze of alleys that can only be explored by foot. We’ll walk this hip neighborhood, dotted with street art and centuries-old temples, and find our way to a stunning riverside oasis with craft beer, pagoda views, and sunset vibes.
  • Local Market & Street Food: Stroll through one of Bangkok’s oldest markets for an authentic glimpse into local street food culture. Among a variety of stops, we’ll visit a beloved auntie for her charcoal grilled satay skewers marinated in coconut milk, turmeric, and aromatic spices, then dipped in her homemade peanut sauce.
  • See the City by Tuktuk: Fly through the city’s alleys (known locally as soi’s) and the historic neighborhoods of Bangkok as we navigate our way past iconic landmarks and to hidden gems by Tuktuk. Introduced to the city in the 1960’s, these vehicles have become a symbol of Thai culture.
  • Northern Thai Traditional Cuisine: Isan cuisine is celebrated for its robust flavors combining spicy, sour, and umami. At this long-standing restaurant, we’ll try pork minced with aromatic herbs and spices (Laab) alongside fresh papaya salad (Som Tum) for a perfect blend of these traditional flavors.
  • Dessert: For nearly a half-century, this hole in the wall has been serving Persian-influenced recipes that have been passed down for generations. Their hand-tossed roti are filled with some sweet surprises, but we can’t help but order a savory version as well. This stop is located near Khaosan Road; your guide can help you get a taxi back to your hotel.
  • Plus more surprises!

About This Tour:

Bangkok is the perfect city of contrasts. Street food stalls outside Michelin restaurants, stilted homes alongside flashy high rises, and a melting pot of culinary influences that have evolved through the ages. Yet most people come to Thailand and eat the same thing they get at home: Pad Thai and Green Curry. But there’s so much more to offer…

On this tour, you’ll taste your way through time and try Thailand’s regional cuisine that makes up our culinary identity. From Chinese immigrants to Northern Thai ethnic groups, our goal is to introduce you to dishes that are new to you, at places you’d never think to visit. Hop in our tuktuks and explore traditional neighborhoods and local markets, plus a splash of today’s hipster scene as well.
